Coritiba Foot Ball Club is one of the most traditional clubs in Southern Brazil and the oldest in Paraná. Founded in 1909, Coxa-Branca is a Brazilian champion and historic rival of Athletico Paranaense in the Atletiba classic. The club calls Estádio Couto Pereira its historic home and one of the most traditional venues in Parananese football.

History

Founded in 1909 by German immigrants in Curitiba, Coritiba is the oldest club in Paraná and one of the pioneers of football in Southern Brazil. Coxa won the Brazilian Championship in 1985, its greatest national title, and has accumulated dozens of state titles. The Atletiba, the classic against Athletico Paranaense, is one of the most fiercely contested derbies in Brazilian football. The club also has a strong history of developing talents who became prominent names in both national and international football.
