Crewe Alexandra

Crewe Alexandra Football Club is a historic English club with over 140 years of tradition. The team was founded by railway workers and is known as 'The Railwaymen'. It plays in the English Football League.

History

Founded in 1877, Crewe Alexandra was born as a railway workers' team. In the 1960s, under the leadership of Ralph Ward, the club achieved promotions and established itself in higher divisions. It participated in the FA Cup and during the 1990s and 2000s, was present in the Championship. The club has a tradition of developing young talents.
