Cruzeiro 2018
Cruzeiro in 2018, managed by Mano Menezes, won back-to-back titles in the Copa do Brasil and the Minas Gerais Championship that year.
History
Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, founded in 1921 in Belo Horizonte, reached 2018 after winning the Copa do Brasil in 2017 under Mano Menezes. In the following season, the team repeated the achievement and won back-to-back championships in the competition, the club's sixth title in the tournament (1993, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2017 and 2018). At the state level, Raposa also won the Minas Gerais Championship in 2018, maintaining the sequence of regional titles that began the previous year. The team played their home matches at Mineirão, the stadium that hosted matches from the 2014 World Cup. The victorious cycle of 2017 and 2018 is one of the most recent great moments in Cruzeiro's history.
