History
Founded in 1913 in Maceió, CSA is one of the most traditional clubs in the Brazilian Northeast. Throughout its history, it competed in various editions of the national divisions and won significant state titles. The club has strong popular identification in Alagoas and maintains historical rivalry with CRB, disputing the state's most important Alagoan derby. Rei Pelé Stadium, a symbol of Maceió, is the club's home and receives large crowds in decisive matches.
