Sportivo Sergipe Club

The CSE is one of the most traditional clubs in the interior of Sergipe, headquartered in the city of Itabaiana. It is recognized as one of the main representatives of football in the interior of the state, alongside clubs such as Sergipe and Confiança.

History

Founded in 1938 in the city of Itabaiana, in the interior of Sergipe, Sportivo Sergipe Club was born from the desire of the local community to have an association capable of competing in state competitions on equal footing with the capital's clubs, Aracaju. Over decades, CSE consolidated itself as the main sporting representative of Itabaiana, cultivating a traditional rivalry with other clubs in the interior of Sergipe. The club plays its matches at Coaracy da Mata Fontes Stadium, known by fans as 'Colossus of the Agreste', the site of important matches of the Sergipe Championship over the years. CSE alternates participations between the elite and access divisions of state football, being a frequent presence in competitions organized by the Sergipe Football Federation. Beyond state relevance, the club has competed in national access tournaments organized by the CBF, representing the interior of Sergipe in competitions of national scope, which reinforced its role as a developer and discoverer of players for Sergipe football.
