Deportivo Pasto is a Colombian football club from the city of Pasto, in the department of Nariño. The club won its only national title in the 2006 Apertura Tournament and has been runner-up in the Colombian championship several times.
History
Deportivo Pasto represents the city of Pasto, located in southern Colombia near the border with Ecuador. The club plays its home matches at Estadio Departamental Libertad and has established itself as the leading club in the department of Nariño. In the Colombian first division, the club lost the 2002 Finalización Tournament final to Independiente Medellín. The club's triumph came in the 2006 Apertura: under the command of José Eugenio 'Cheché' Hernández, Pasto defeated Deportivo Cali in the final and won the first national title in its history. With this, the club competed in the 2007 Copa Libertadores. The club returned to national finals after that. It lost the 2012 Apertura final to Independiente Santa Fe and the 2019 Apertura final to Junior de Barranquilla.
