Deportivo Táchira

One of the most traditional and successful clubs in Venezuelan football, based in San Cristobal, close to the Colombia border, and a frequent participant in the CONMEBOL Libertadores.

History

Founded in 1974 in the state of Tachira, the club quickly became a powerhouse of Venezuelan football, winning numerous national titles and establishing itself as one of Venezuela's most consistent representatives in continental competitions. Deportivo Tachira built a historic rivalry with clubs from Caracas, and its fan base is recognized as one of the most passionate in the country, with strong support at Estadio Pueblo Nuevo. The club continues as a competitive force in the Venezuelan Primera División, regularly competing in group stages and knockout rounds of the Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
