GNK Dinamo Zagreb
GNK Dinamo Zagreb is the most successful club in Croatia and one of the most recognized in the Balkans on the European stage. Founded in 1945 in the Croatian capital, the club has dominated national football since the country's independence in 1991. History
Dinamo Zagreb dominated Croatian football since the creation of the national championship after the country's independence, winning the vast majority of HNL titles. The club won the Fairs Cup (predecessor of the UEFA Cup) in 1967, its greatest European achievement. It revealed world-class players such as Luka Modrić, Mateo Kovačić and Dejan Lovren, who became stars of the biggest European clubs. The club participated several times in the Champions League group stage and has been a reference in Eastern European football.
