En Avant Guingamp
En Avant Guingamp is a French football club from Guingamp, in Brittany, founded in 1912. It plays at Stade de Roudourou and is known for two French Cup titles, in 2009 and 2014, both in finals against Rennes.
History
Founded in 1912, En Avant Guingamp spent most of its history in regional and lower divisions of French football. It gained national prominence from the 1990s onwards and became one of the best-known clubs in Brittany. In 2009 it won the French Cup by defeating Rennes in the final, a rare achievement for a club playing in the second division. In 2014 it repeated the feat, again over Rennes. Promotion to Ligue 1 in 2013 and subsequent campaigns took the club to the Europa League in 2014-15. In the following years it alternated between the first and second divisions of French football.
