Club from Caxias do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul, founded in 1913 by descendants of Italian immigrants. It is the greatest champion of the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and won the Copa do Brasil in 1999.

History

Esporte Clube Juventude was founded on June 29, 1913 in Caxias do Sul, a city with strong Italian settlement in the Serra Gaúcha region. The name chosen reflected the age of the founders, mostly young children of immigrants. For decades the club competed in the Campeonato Gaúcho as the main force of the interior, rivaling Caxias and facing the hegemony of Grêmio and Internacional in the capital. The Alfredo Jaconi Stadium, inaugurated in 1975, became one of the most feared venues in the state. The pinnacle of history came in 1999, when Juventude won the Copa do Brasil by defeating Botafogo in the final, a result that guaranteed a spot in the Copa Libertadores 2000. In the same period the club established itself in the elite of the Campeonato Brasileiro, even reaching the final phase of the competition. In the following decades, Juventude alternated periods in Series A, Series B and Series C, with promotions won in 2020 and 2023 that returned the club to the national first division.
