History
Esporte Clube Primeiro Passo Vitória da Conquista was founded in 1987 from a social project for developing athletes in the southwestern region of Bahia, an origin that explains the name 'First Step'. The club professionalized and began representing Vitória da Conquista, the second largest city in inland Bahia, in the Bahian Championship, becoming the region's main team and a rival to Salvador's major clubs in state competitions. Bode also competed in the Northeast Cup and national competitions in lower divisions, consolidating an expressive fan base in southwestern Bahia and using Estádio Lomanto Júnior as its sports venue.
