Everton Football Club

Everton is one of England's most traditional clubs, founded in 1878 and one of the founding members of the Football League. It intensely rivals Liverpool in the classic known as the Merseyside Derby. The club is building a new riverside stadium, ending over a century at Goodison Park.

History

Founded in 1878, Everton was one of the creators of the Football League in 1888 and won its first national title in 1891. The club experienced its golden era in the 1980s, winning two First Division titles and a UEFA Cup. With nine English championship titles, the Toffees are one of the most successful clubs in England's history.
