History
Falkirk was founded in 1876 and became one of the traditional clubs in Scottish football. For over a century it played its home matches at Brockville Park, where it remained from 1885 until 2003, before moving to the current Falkirk Stadium in 2004. The club's greatest achievement in the Scottish Cup came in 1913, when it defeated Raith Rovers 2-0 in the final. In 1957 the club won the competition once more, totaling two titles. Falkirk also holds the record for Scottish Challenge Cup titles, with four trophies, won in 1993, 1997, 2004 and 2012. In the 2023-24 season, the club was unbeaten champion of the Scottish League One and, in the following season, won the 2024-25 Scottish Championship title, secured on May 2, 2025 with a 3-1 victory over Hamilton Academical. With consecutive promotions, Falkirk returned to the Scottish top division, which it had not played in since 2009-10.
