FC Copenhagen is Denmark's most successful club in modern times, founded in 1992 by the merger of clubs KB and B 1903. Dominant in Danish football, the club has won most of the Superligaen titles in recent decades. The Parken, Denmark's national stadium, serves as the club's home and has a capacity of over 38,000 supporters.
History
Since its foundation in 1992, FC Copenhagen quickly became the dominant club in Danish football, winning numerous Superligaen titles. The club is the only Danish team to have reached the quarter-finals of a major European competition, in the 2010-11 Champions League. It has produced international players such as Peter Schmeichel Jr. and has regularly participated in the group stages of European competitions. The rivalry with Brøndby IF is the greatest in Danish football.
