FC Dallas
Club founded as Dallas Burn in 1996, founding member of MLS, adopted the name FC Dallas in 2005 and is recognized for one of the most awarded youth academies in the United States.
History
FC Dallas was one of ten founding clubs of Major League Soccer in 1996, debuting as Dallas Burn. In its early years, the club won its first major national title, the US Open Cup, still under its original name, establishing itself as a competitive force in developing North American football. In 2005, the club was renamed FC Dallas and, the following year, inaugurated its own stadium, now called Toyota Stadium, in the city of Frisco, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, in Texas. The new stadium and new visual identity marked a period of greater institutional stability. FC Dallas is widely recognized for the quality of its youth academy, considered one of the best in MLS, responsible for developing players who became reference points for the United States National Team, such as Weston McKennie and Ricardo Pepi. In the club's history, the main achievement in continental and national competitions includes US Open Cup titles and an MLS Cup final played in 2010.
