History

Founded in 1897, FC Luzern is one of Switzerland's oldest clubs and has played a historic role in the Swiss Super League. The club won the national championship in 1989 and 2003, and won the Swiss Cup on two occasions. With a loyal fan base in Lucerne, it regularly participated in international competitions, including the Champions League and the Europa League.
