Ferencvárosi TC

Ferencvárosi TC, affectionately called 'Fradi' by its supporters, is the most popular and successful club in Hungary. Founded in 1899 in the working-class neighborhood of Ferencváros in Budapest, the club has one of the largest fan bases in Eastern Europe and a history full of national and European achievements. The modern Groupama Arena, inaugurated in 2014 with a capacity of 22,000 fans, is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the region.

History

Ferencváros is the Hungarian club with the most national titles and the only one to win a European competition, winning the Fairs Cup in 1965. The club dominated Hungarian football in different periods and was a European force in the 1960s and 1970s. In recent years, Ferencváros has become competitive again on the European stage, participating in the group stage of the Champions League in 2020-21 and 2021-22. The club developed players like Flórián Albert, winner of the Ballon d'Or in 1967, the only Hungarian to win the award.
