Flamengo Piauiense

Flamengo Piauiense is one of the most traditional clubs in Piauí football, based in Teresina. It is one of the largest state champions in the history of the state.

History

Founded in 1917 in the Piauí capital, Flamengo Piauiense quickly became one of the biggest forces in local football, disputing historic titles in the Piauiense Championship throughout the entire 20th century. The club built one of the largest fan bases in the state and accumulated dozens of state titles, standing as a reference alongside other traditional Teresina teams such as River and Piauí. In recent decades, Flamengo Piauiense alternated participations in national access competitions, such as Serie D of the Brazilian Championship, maintaining relevance in the regional scenario.
