Galícia Esporte Clube

Galícia Esporte Clube is a traditional club from Salvador, in Bahia, with strong historical ties to the Liberdade neighborhood. It is one of the oldest clubs in the state.

History

Founded in 1918, Galícia Esporte Clube was born in the Liberdade neighborhood in Salvador, becoming one of the oldest and most traditional clubs in Bahian football. Throughout the 20th century, it competed in several editions of the Bahian Championship. The club is recognized for its base of loyal fans in the Liberdade region and for having revealed athletes to Bahian football over decades. Despite not having major recent state conquests, Galícia maintains participation in amateur competitions and youth categories, preserving its centennial tradition.
