Goianésia Esporte Clube

Goianésia is a traditional club from the interior of Goiás, with frequent participations in the Campeonato Goiano and editions of the Série D of the Brazilian Championship.

History

Founded in 1979 in the city of Goianésia, in the interior of Goiás, the club quickly became one of the main forces in Goian football outside the capital. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Goianésia competed in various editions of the Campeonato Goiano, alternating between the top tier and the state second division, in addition to participating in national promotion competitions such as Série D. The club is recognized for its loyal fan base in the interior of the state and for investing in the development of athletes for regional football.
