Grêmio Catanduvense

Grêmio Esportivo Catanduvense is a Brazilian football club based in Catanduva, in the interior of São Paulo state. Founded in 1913, it is one of the most traditional clubs in the interior of São Paulo, a frequent participant in state and national competitions.

History

Grêmio Catanduvense was founded in 1913 by a group of football enthusiasts in Catanduva. During the 20th century, the club established itself as one of the main references in the interior of São Paulo state, regularly participating in the Paulista Championship and, later, in Series C and D of the Brazilian Championship. Its peak occurred in the 1960s and 1980s, when it won several regional titles. The club maintains a long tradition of developing talents who later played for major Brazilian clubs.
