History
Founded on September 15, 1903 by German immigrants in Porto Alegre, Grêmio became one of the most successful clubs in Brazilian football on the international stage. The club won the Copa Libertadores in 1983, 1995, and 2017, and the Intercontinental Cup in 1983 and 2017, establishing itself as a continental powerhouse. In 2012, the club inaugurated the Grêmio Arena, one of the most modern stadiums in Brazil, replacing the traditional Estádio Olímpico Monumental.
