Grêmio Esportivo Bahiano

Football club from the city of Salvador, in Bahia, with a tradition in amateur and semi-professional Bahian football.

History

Founded in 1959, the Grêmio Esportivo Bahiano had relevant participation in Bahia state competitions throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being one of the most traditional neighborhood clubs in Salvador. The club never achieved full professionalism, but maintained youth categories and amateur competitions, developing players for larger clubs in the state. Currently it competes in regional and amateur tournaments, keeping alive the sporting tradition of the neighborhood where it is based.
