History
Founded in 1911, Grêmio Esportivo Brasil, popularly known as Xavante, is one of the oldest clubs in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Throughout its history, it competed in several editions of the Campeonato Gaúcho, alternating between the top division and lower divisions of Rio Grande do Sul football. The club built historical rivalries with teams from the southern region of the state and is recognized for developing players for major clubs in Brazil. Its fanbase is one of the most faithful in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, keeping alive the century-old tradition of the club.
