Grêmio Maringá Football Club

Paraná-based club that competed in national competitions in the 2000s. It is one of the traditional teams in the interior of Paraná.

History

Founded in 1971 in the city of Maringá, the club established itself as one of the main forces in football in the interior of Paraná over the following decades. Grêmio Maringá competed in several editions of national access competitions, alternating seasons of prominence with periods of restructuring, while always maintaining a strong connection with the local fans. In the 2010s and 2020s, the club began investing in youth categories, developing players who went on to join larger Brazilian football clubs. Currently, the club maintains regular participation in the Paraná Championship, seeking to recapture moments of glory experienced in previous decades.
