Grêmio Mauaense
Grêmio Mauaense is a football club from the city of Mauá, in the Greater ABC region of São Paulo. Traditional in amateur and semi-professional football in the state of São Paulo, it competes in competitions organized by the São Paulo Football Federation.
History
Founded in 1974, Grêmio Mauaense was born as a grassroots and amateur football club in the city of Mauá, consolidating itself over the decades as one of the main sports associations in the municipality. The club played its home games at the Municipal Waldemiro Bagagi Stadium, popularly known as 'Vovô', a venue that serves as home to several clubs in the Greater ABC region of São Paulo. Throughout its history, Grêmio Mauaense participated in lower divisions of the São Paulo Championship, alternating seasons between amateur and semi-professional competitions, always maintaining strong ties with the local community and developing players for larger clubs in the São Paulo metropolitan region. The club remains a reference point for grassroots and base football in Mauá, contributing to the training of athletes and maintaining the football tradition of the city within the interior of São Paulo.
