History
Founded on January 6, 1923, Guarany Sporting Club was born from the passion of Bagé's residents, a city on the border with Uruguay. The name honors the Guarani people, reinforcing the cultural identity of the region. Throughout the decades, the club competed in numerous editions of the Rio Grande do Sul State Championship, rivaling teams such as Esporte Clube Pelotas and Brasil de Pelotas, and contributed to developing athletes who pursued careers at larger clubs in the state. Estádio Estrela d'Alva, home of the Tricolor of the South, witnessed memorable matches of the Gauchão. Bagé, known as the Capital of the Border, has in Guarany a cultural and sports reference that spans generations.
