HNK Hajduk Split
HNK Hajduk Split is the largest club in the city of Split and the biggest rival of Dinamo Zagreb, forming the most intense rivalry in Croatian football. Founded in 1911, the club has one of the most passionate fan bases in the Balkans, known as 'Torcida', considered the oldest fan organization in Europe. The magnificent Poljud Stadium, inaugurated for the 1979 Universiade, is one of the most beautiful in the region.
History
Hajduk Split was one of the most important clubs in former Yugoslavia, winning multiple Yugoslav league titles and participating in memorable European campaigns. The club maintained its relevance after Croatia's independence in 1991, winning several HNL titles. 'Torcida', founded in 1950, is recognized as the oldest fan organization in Europe and one of the most influential in football. It revealed players such as Slaven Bilić, Robert Jarni and Igor Tudor, who had prominent careers in European football.
