History

Founded in 1889, Hammarby IF grew to become a powerhouse of Swedish football. The club won Allsvenskan titles in 1914, 1920, and 1923, consolidating its status among the greats. In the following decades, Hammarby remained competitive, regularly participating in European competitions. The Tele2 Arena stadium, inaugurated in 2013, represents modernity and allows the club to continue its development. The rivalry with AIK is one of the most intense in Scandinavian football, known as the 'Stockholm Derby'.
