Hà Nội Football Club
Founded as Ha Noi T&T, Hanoi FC is the most successful club in the modern era of Vietnamese football, dominating the V.League 1 in the 2010s under the control of the T&T Group.
History
The club was founded in 2006 in the Vietnamese capital under the name Ha Noi T&T, belonging to the T&T Group conglomerate. In just a few years of existence, it became the dominant force in Vietnamese football, winning its first national title as early as 2010, just four years after its foundation. Throughout the 2010s, the club — which officially changed its name to Hanoi FC from 2016 onwards — won multiple titles of the V.League 1, Vietnam's top division, establishing itself as the country's main representative in continental competitions organized by the AFC. Based at Hang Day Stadium in central Hanoi, the club is known for its investment in youth development and for developing players for the Vietnamese national team, and is today one of the most traditional and well-structured institutions in Southeast Asian football.
