Hellas Verona is the most representative club in the city of Verona and one of the greatest underdogs in Italian football history. Famous for surprising the big clubs, the team has one of the most passionate fan bases in Italy. It shares the city with Chievo Verona in the Derby dell'Adige.

History

Founded in 1903, Hellas Verona achieved one of the greatest feats in Italian football history by winning the only Serie A title in its history in 1985, surprising clubs such as Juventus, Milan and Inter. Coach Osvaldo Bagnoli and striker Hans-Peter Briegel were the protagonists of this historic achievement. The club spent the following decades alternating between Serie A and Serie B. In recent years, it has maintained its place in the elite with strong performances, revealing talents such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
