Hercilio Luz Football Club

One of the oldest clubs in Santa Catarina, Hercilio Luz is a traditional participant in the Campeonato Catarinense, based in the city of Tubarão.

History

Founded in 1919 in the city of Tubarão, in the south of Santa Catarina, Hercilio Luz Football Club bears the name of former Santa Catarina governor Hercilio Luz and figures among the oldest associations in the state. The club built its tradition competing in the Campeonato Catarinense throughout the twentieth century, being one of the main forces of the interior of the state in various periods, with historic regional rivalries in the southern region of Santa Catarina. In more recent decades, the Seagull has alternated participations between state divisions, maintaining the Adolfo Konder as the venue for its matches and preserving the identity of a club that trains players for Santa Catarina football.
