History
Founded in 1913, Associação Desportiva Icasa is one of Ceará's oldest sports institutions and represents Juazeiro do Norte, the second largest city in the state and a cultural and religious hub of the Northeast. The club carries the history of Cariri football, a region marked by devotion to Padre Cícero and a strong northeastern identity. Icasa won multiple titles in the Ceará State Championship throughout its history, being one of the greatest state champions of the 21st century. The team revealed players who came to play in Serie A of the Brazilian Championship and in clubs abroad, thanks to the youth development work carried out in the interior of Ceará. The Azulão's greatest national achievement was its participation in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship in 2013, where the club represented interior Northeastern football with brilliance. Estádio Romeirão, in Juazeiro do Norte, is the stage for the club's greatest moments and hosted high-level matches during Icasa's historic campaigns.
