One of the most traditional clubs in Acreian football, founded in the early twentieth century in the capital Rio Branco. It maintains a historical rivalry with other traditional teams in the state in the Campeonato Acreano.

History

Founded in 1912, Independência Esporte Clube is one of the oldest associations in the state of Acre, emerging at the dawn of Amazonian football organization. Over the decades, the club competed in the Campeonato Acreano and regional friendly competitions, contributing to the formation of local football culture. Like several traditional clubs in Acre, Independência faced periods of financial and administrative instability, alternating between more competitive seasons and restructuring phases. The club continues to play its home games at Estádio Florestão, the main sports venue in Rio Branco, shared by other teams in the state.
