Independente Esporte Clube

Independente Esporte Clube

Traditional club from the interior of São Paulo, based in Limeira, with a long history in regional and state competitions.

History

Founded in 1926, Independente Esporte Clube is one of the oldest associations in the Limeira region, in the interior of São Paulo. Throughout its trajectory, the club competed in several editions of the Paulista Championship in its access divisions, alternating between the Second and Third divisions. The club maintained, throughout the decades, a strong connection with the local community, also serving as a source of players for larger teams in the state of São Paulo. Despite never having competed in the elite of Paulista or Brazilian football, Independente is recognized for its tradition and resilience in maintaining activities in amateur and professional youth football. Currently, the club continues to compete in regional and state competitions in access categories, keeping alive the centennial history of Limeira football.
