Independente Paraibano

Historic club from Paraíba with important participation in state football and regional competitions. Represented Paraíba in several Copa do Nordeste tournaments and South American competitions.

History

Founded in 1913 in João Pessoa, Independente Paraibano is one of the oldest clubs in Paraíba. It established itself as a major force in state football during the first half of the twentieth century, winning numerous Campeonato Paraibano titles. The club participated in important regional competitions such as Copa do Nordeste, proudly representing the state of Paraíba. Though it experienced periods of varying activity, the club maintains its relevance as a heritage of northeastern football.
