History

Founded in 1913, Instituto de Manaus is one of the oldest clubs in the northern region of Brazil. It emerged during the golden era of the rubber cycle in Manaus and witnessed the entire transformation of the region. The club won numerous Amazonense Championship titles and participated in regional and national competitions. Its stadium, Vivaldo Lima, is one of the main gathering points for Amazonense fans. The history of Instituto is intertwined with the very history of football in the Amazon.
