In December 2006, in Japan, Colorado defeated Al-Ahly of Egypt 2-1 in the semifinal and beat Barcelona 1-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup final, played in Yokohama, with a goal by Adriano Gabiru at 37 minutes of the second half. In 2007, the group also won the South American Recopa against Pachuca of Mexico, closing one of the most victorious cycles in Internacional's history.
