Sport Club Internacional
Internacional is the great rival of Grêmio and one of the most popular clubs in southern Brazil. It won the Copa Libertadores in 2006 and 2010, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup in 2006.
History
Founded in 1909 by young people who wanted a club open to all races and social classes, Internacional was a pioneer in inclusion in Brazilian football. In 2006, under the command of Abel Braga, it won its first Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup, defeating Barcelona in the final. In 2010, it repeated the continental triumph. The Beira-Rio is one of the most beautiful stadiums in Brazil, on the banks of the Guaíba River.
