Jacobina Futebol Clube

A traditional club from the interior of Bahia, founded in 1959 in Jacobina. It regularly participates in the Bahia Championship and is an important force in football in the interior of the state.

History

Jacobina Futebol Clube was founded in 1959 as a result of the merger of two local sports associations that dominated football in the region. Since its founding, the club has regularly participated in the Bahia Championship and won several minor state titles. In the 1980s and 1990s, the team was one of the highlights of football in the interior of Bahia, forming a fierce rivalry with other clubs in the region. Despite never having won titles of great significance, it maintains tradition and the passion of its fans as its greatest assets.
