History

Jagiellonia Białystok was founded in 1920 in the city of Białystok, in northeastern Poland, and became the main football club of the region. Its traditional colors are yellow and red, and the club's nickname among fans is Jaga. Throughout most of the 20th century, the team oscillated between the lower divisions and the elite of Polish football, without major national achievements, but maintaining loyal supporters and a strong regional identity. The first major title came in the 2009-10 season, when Jagiellonia won the Polish Cup, which gave it access to European competitions. The pinnacle of the club's history occurred in the 2023-24 season, under the command of coach Adrian Siemieniec, when Jagiellonia became the Ekstraklasa champions for the first time. The achievement took the club to the league phase of the UEFA Conference League in the following season.
