History
Juventus, presided by Edoardo Agnelli since 1923, assembled a dominant team in Italian football at the turn of the 1930s. Coach Carlo Carcano led the group in the early part of the cycle and the team won the Italian Championship in 1930-31, 1931-32, 1932-33, 1933-34 and 1934-35. The team's foundation featured names such as goalkeeper Gianpiero Combi, and forwards Raimundo Orsi and Luis Monti, who were also World Champions with Italy in 1934. Between 1933 and 1934 the club began to play its matches at Stadio Mussolini, in Turin. The sequence of five consecutive titles was only matched by Juventus itself decades later, in the cycle that began in 2011-12.
