Esporte Clube Juventus

Esporte Clube Juventus is one of São Paulo's most traditional clubs, founded in 1924 in the Mooca neighborhood, a stronghold of Italian immigration. Inspired by Juventus of Turin, the club adopted the black and white striped uniform and forged a unique identity in São Paulo football. The Conde Rodolfo Crespi Stadium, on Rua Javari, is one of Brazilian football's most beloved historic venues.

History

Founded on August 26, 1924 in Mooca, a working-class and Italian neighborhood in São Paulo, Esporte Clube Juventus was born from the passion of immigrant workers who wanted their own football club. The black and white stripes were adopted as a tribute to the Turin club, consolidating a visual identity that remains to this day. In the early decades, Juventus competed prominently in the São Paulo State Championship, conquering state titles and revealing talents who reached the Brazilian National Team. The club became part of the elite of São Paulo football alongside Corinthians, Palmeiras, Santos, and São Paulo during much of the twentieth century. The Conde Rodolfo Crespi Stadium, popularly called Rua Javari, is a living heritage of São Paulo football. With reduced capacity but incomparable atmosphere, the stadium hosted historic matches and continues to be home to one of the most loyal fan bases in inland São Paulo. Despite fluctuating between state divisions in recent decades, Juventus maintains a solid youth academy, being recognized as a talent developer in the Mooca neighborhood and region.
