History
Kilmarnock Football Club was founded in 1869 and is one of the oldest clubs in Scotland still in operation. Based in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, the club became an institution in Scottish football over more than 150 years. It has competed in numerous editions of the Scottish League and Scottish Cup, achieving prominence especially in the 1960s and 1990s. Rugby Park, its historic stadium, is one of the most traditional venues in British football.
