History

Founded in 1900, Lazio won two Italian Championship titles, in 1974 and 2000, as well as seven Coppa Italia titles. The team experienced its golden era in the late 1990s under the command of manager Sven-Göran Eriksson, with players such as Marcelo Salas, Pavel Nedvěd and Alessandro Nesta. The Serie A conquest in 2000 was the pinnacle of a special generation. The club remains a relevant force in Italian football.
