History

Founded in 1915 in the La Blanqueada neighborhood in Montevideo, Liverpool FC is one of the historic clubs in Uruguayan football, adopting the name in homage to the English club. Throughout its trajectory, it regularly competed in Uruguay's Primera División, alternating seasons in the top flight and in the second division, and came to represent the country in continental competitions such as the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana. The club is recognized for its work in developing young players, revealing talents that later transferred to major clubs in Europe and South America.
