History

Louletano Desportos Clube was founded in 1978 as a result of the merger of local associations in Loulé, in the heart of the Algarve, quickly consolidating itself in the region. It became one of the main Algarve clubs, reaching its peak in the 1990s, when it gained access to the Portuguese First Division and participated in several editions of the national championship. The club also regularly competed in the Portuguese Cup, demonstrating competitiveness against the country's biggest teams. Its stadium, Estádio Louletano, is known for the passion and loyalty of its fans. Currently, the club remains competitive in the Portuguese second division and maintains a solid tradition of discovering young talents.
