History
Founded in 1945 as Volov Razgrad, the club adopted the Ludogorets name in 1969. For decades it was a regional club until its meteoric rise starting in 2011, when it began an impressive streak of 9 consecutive Bulgarian First Division titles. It has maintained a constant presence in the Champions League and Europa League, eliminating traditional teams and establishing itself as a European force. Under the leadership of oligarch Kiril Domuschiev since 2010, it invests aggressively and has significantly raised the technical standard.
