Milton Keynes Dons FC

Milton Keynes Dons is an English football club founded in 2004 following the relocation of Wimbledon FC. Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, it competes in the EFL Championship and seeks to return to the Premier League after years of competing in the lower divisions.

History

The club was created in 2004 when Wimbledon FC moved from London to Milton Keynes, generating great controversy among supporters who refused to follow the relocation. Since then, the Dons have competed mainly in the Championship (second division) and League One (third division), with fluctuating performances. Stadium MK, inaugurated in 2007, has a capacity of over 30,000 spectators. The club won the League Two title in 2019, marking its best recent result. Despite its brief history compared to other English clubs, MK Dons has built a loyal fan base in the Milton Keynes region.
