History

Montevideo Wanderers was founded in 1902 and is among the founding clubs of the Uruguayan Football Association, participating in the first organized editions of the national championship. Its initial trajectory was marked by title conquests during the amateur period of Uruguayan football. Over the decades, the club consolidated itself as a traditional Montevideo team, maintaining frequent presence in the Primera Division, although without repeating the titles of the first decades of the 20th century. Today, Wanderers is recognized for its loyal fan base and historical tradition, being one of the oldest clubs still active in South American football.
